Saturday evening on 30th November saw stars in The Carharrack Stars, as Carol Sandercock from Cornwall Hospice Care was handed a cheque for £1,002 by Robin Moore, Carharrack's fund raising walker.

The money was raised at a charity auction held recently in the pub. Donations of prizes came from far and wide,and people dug deep into their pockets to raise over a thousand pounds.

John and Margaret Hopper seen here, along with Glenda the local much loved dragon, breathing fire behind the bar, hosted the presentation evening during which a raffle was held and a further £66 pounds raised. Carol thanked everyone who had so generously taken part in raising the money, and pointed out the importance of fundraising to provide the 5 million pounds needed annually to maintain the work of the hospice.
